Elevating even the most ordinary object on some kind of pedestal, or placing that thing within an extraordinary setting or context, immediately imbues a greater significance upon that object – deserved, or not. Several of these pieces elevate, both literally and figuratively, the intentionally mundane and even the unattractive, insisting that we offer some response of reverence or respect."
