Jaime Jo Fisher Texas Biography
Fisher was born and raised in a small town in southern Illinois. She received her BFA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1999. Jaime is currently a full time studio artist in Austin, Texas. Before working as a full time studio artist, Jaime worked at a bakery in the St. Louis area utilizing her talents decorating birthday and wedding cakes. By working at the bakery and participating in local art shows for a couple years she could continue to invest in her career as an artist. In the summer of 2002 Jaime took the plunge and became a full time artist with three back-to-back shows: two in Ohio and one in Virginia. This three-week tour was a crash course in self-employment determination. Those three weeks were just the beginning of her career as a jeweler. <Back to metals artists |
