Mark Douglas

Douglas’ digital prints are a combination of text, image, mathematical formulae, geometry, and astronomy that is meant to lead the viewer to an introspective conclusion, a conclusion which is defined by the viewer. I think of the work as a kind of visual poetry in the sense of conveying a sensation or series of sensations which the viewer can combine or recombine. Haiku rather than epic.
